Claudia's Pflanzen

This is my balcony garden at the moment. In the yellow pages of Perth I found four orchid nurseries. Two of them were nice and quite big - a paradise for someone like me. But in Australia most orchids bloom during the winter from end of May until September, I think that is a good reason to visit the nurseries then again.

What I saw until now, the orchid nurseries have mainly Cattleya's, Zygoneria's and Cymbidium's.

This is my Cattlya in a lovely color... the correct name for it is: C Cherry Chip 'Blumen Insel' x Sc Beaufort 'Big Circle' 4n.

This is my second Cattleya: Blc Seagulls Mini-Catt Heaven. And the best with the place where I bought my orchids is, the prices are compared with Switzerland low. I payed for this small orange Cattley only $8 (is at the moment 1:1 with sFr.).

This is one of the two Zygoneria's I bought (the second one does not bloom at the moment): Zygoneria Adelaide Meadows 'Black Shadow' x Z Artur Elle 'Rich'.

This one is not an orchid it is a native australian plant, the Kangaroo Paws.
